7 days from Agadir to Casablanca via Desert

1st Day: Agadir – Ait Ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Boumalane.

Today, if you arrive early in Agadir, you will start your travel to the desert. Firstly, you head to Taliouine, the town of saffron in Morocco and you are going to pass through the Argan forest. Then you will can visit the saffron cooperatives in the town and taste its tea. Secondly you will drive to the Berber village Taznakhte and continue to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the famous and ancient Kasbah in our country. Thereafter you will head to Ouarzazate which is known the Hollywood of Morocco. On the last stop of this trip is in Dades Boumalane where you have a night. 

2nd Day: Dades Boumalane – Todgha Canyon – Merzouga Desert.

After your breakfast, you will leave to the Todgha Gorges (Canyon); rising about 300m and a narrow Valley full of Palmaris and villages. Have lunch in the gorges, then head to the stunning dunes of Erg Chebbi in the desert Merzouga where you’ll take a camel ride – about an hour or two- to reach Berber tents (luxury camps) with dinner, camp-fire and drum part, spend the night in the desert.

3rd day: Merzouga day.

In your third day of Agadir-Desert-Casablanca tour, you should wake up early in the morning for outstanding sunrise. After breakfast, you will explore more about Erg Chebbi with 4X4 car, visiting Khamlia town, to see and discover small villages, and inhabited houses, where you cannot except that people actually living there, far away from the civilization. You will also visit a nomad family and discover how they are living.

In the evening, you are going to check in the hotel where you will stay tonight.

4rd day: Merzouga – Rissani – Ziz valley – Midelt – Fes.

Today, you will leave the Sahara and start your journey to Fes crossing the town of Rissani; the center of Allaouit dynasty, the valley of Ziz and Ziz gorges. After lunch in a local restaurant in Midelt, continue the road through the cedar forests. Then pass through Azrou; typical Zayan Middle Atlas Berber village and Ifran “small Switzerland of Morocco”. Late afternoon, you reach the medina of Fes.

5th day: Guided tour of Fes “the spiritual city of Morocco”.

Today, it is dedicated to discovery the city of Fes, the oldest imperial city in Morocco founded in the 8th century by Moulay Idriss II. You’ll visit the Medina; Medersas Attarine, Ennajarine Fountain, Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss and Karawiyin Mosque, as well as the new medina Fez Jdid.

Check-in at the hotel/riad in the evening.

6th day: Fes – Volubilis – Meknes – Rabat.

     After breakfast, your journey will start towards Volubilis, where you will visit the Roman ruins and learn about the archeological site and its Moroccan history. Then, you’ll pass by the village of Moulay Idriss Zarhoun, the holy founder of the first indigenous Islamic kingdom of Morocco. After there, you are going to continue to Meknes city which had a 17th century heritage, hang out at the historical huge walls of the medina, Bab el Mansour and enjoy a visit to Moulay Ismail s shrine also the mysterious prison of QARA.

Afternoon, you’ll travel to Rabat in about two hours and check-in at your hotel. Then, you can go out to explore some sites of the city.

7th day: Rabat- Casablanca (airport).

     On this last day of the tour, you are going to visit main sites of Rabat; the Kasbah of Oudayas, the Hassan Tower and the ruins of 200 columns, the Chellah, ancient architecture, stunning Mausoleum Mohamed V and Mohamed II. After there, you will head to Casablanca. Visit the exterior of Hassan II Mosque (time permitting) or explore the interior (time permitting).finally, our driver will pick you up at hotel or the airport.
