Overview of the 7-day touring from Fez
These 7 days touring package starts from Fes to Marrakech via many amazing sites in 7D/6N. Including; the old medina of Fes, the Roman ruins of Volubilis, and pass over the Middle Atlas Mountains also the cedars forest into Merzouga desert. Then, drive along the amazing Ziz Valley. After that, you reach the Sahara desert of Merzouga. Where it will be possible to ride camels, spend the night in a luxury camp in Erg Chebbi. Also enjoy the magical sunset and sunrise in the Sahara. As well as 4*4 journey exploring the desert. In addition to that you will visit Rissani traditional market and Erfoud the Fossils town. Then, you will visit the Todra gorges, Dades gorges and the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou.
Cross the high Atlas Mountains and the Tizi-N-Tichka pass.You will arrive and explore Marrakech.
Itinerary of these 7 days/ 6 nights tour from Fez
1st day: Fes sightseeing .
After breakfast, you begin your visit of “the old Medina” with a local official tour guide. You’ll tour the Medina with its markets, stopping at the gateway of the Royal Palace, the 9th century Karouine Mosque and University which is the first founded of the world. You’ll visit also the shrine of the city founder “Moulay Idriss II”. Lunch is held at one of the traditional restaurants in the ancient “Medina” city. After lunch, you will continue you tour to visit the Nejjarine Fountain, the old Harem Garden and the Batha Museum. On the way back to the hotel, you stop to enjoy a panoramic view of the city.
2nd day: Fes- Merzouga.
In the morning you are going to head into the mountains to a region Imouzzer, which is blanketed by forests of cedar, juniper and cork oak. The area is well known for having abundant wildlife and you may see many types of birds, wild boar and Barbary apes on your scenic drive. Then the road will start climb into the Middle Atlas Mountains where we may see nomadic Berbers and their tents, goat herds dotted in slopes. After late lunch in Midelt, you continue on mountain roads overlooking the wide flowing Oued Ziz. Then, Passing through Kasbahs and palm groves in the adobe colored city of Er-Rachidia, Ait chaker panoramic view. In the late afternoon, you’ll arrive to Merzouga village on the heart of the Sahara Desert where you will spend the night.
3rd day: Tour around Erg Chebbi by 4×4 / BUGGIES– camel ride to desert camp.
Today, you start you touring around the dunes of Erg Chebbi. You will visit a berber house in Khamlia village, listen to Gnawa music; originally from Ghana, and Sudan. You visit some deserted mines, Berber nomads and oasis of palm trees. Have lunch in a local restaurant head back to hotel. After relaxing for a time, you are going to ride camels for taking you on an adventure with sunset in the sand dunes towards the equipped camp where you’ll spend a night with drums music in the middle of the desert; it is a great opportunity to take stunner pictures of the sunset and sunrise. Until you arrive to the camp.
4th day: Merzouga- vally Dades- Ouarzazate.
Early morning, you should get up for watching the stunning sunrise before you go to Merzouga, have breakfast. Then you start your journey into Ouarzazate. On the way, if you are interested in Fossils you should visit the Great Tahiri Museum of Stone Fossils. Also, you can visit the Berber shops where you may purchase souvenirs like fossils, carpets, lamps, leather.., and passing by vally Dades, Skoura and entry Ouarzazate in the afternoon and spend the night in a hotel.
5th day: Ouarzazate- Marrakech.
You’ll Leave Ouarzazate in the morning to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah for visiting in this world heritage site. This famous 11th century Kasbah was used as a backdrop for more than 20 history films including famous Gladiator. After lunch, you will head to Marrakech through Tizi-n- Tichka and reach Marrakech in the evening.
6th day: Marrakech sightseeings tour.
Today for a tour of Marrakech city; visit the Menara, a surrounded pool by flowerbeds that function as an irrigation system for the surrounded fields. The sightseeing tour includes several impressive sights: The Koutoubia mosque, Majorelle Gardens, Bahia Palace and Dar Si Said Palace museum of jewellery. Have optional lunch in the old city, followed by a walking in the colorful souks of Marrakech. You can enjoy a sunset drink overlooking the exciting Djemaa El Fna Square from a balcony of a café.
7th day: Marrakech- Fes.
On the last day of seven days tour, you will leave Marrakech in the morning to head back to Fes where your tour was started.
