12 days tour from Tangier
Daily itinerary of this typical 12 days tour from Tangier:
1st day: Tangier – Chefchaouen.
Welcome to Morocco!! Meet your tour driver/guide at the port or airport of Tangier. The trip will begin passing through the Rif and then arriving the charming city of Chefchaouen, whose Berber name means ”horns”, perched beneath mountains of the Rif, where white Houses built over hills in shades of blue. The overnight in a booked hotel/riad.
2nd day: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fez.
The departure will be after having breakfast towards Fez. In the road, you visit the Roman ruins of Volubilis and then continuing to Meknes, the modern imperial city, for visiting the old city "Medina", which is surrounded by a large the wall.
At the end of today, head straight to your accommodation in Fez, where you spend the night.
3rd day: Guided tour Of Fez city.
The whole day is dedicated to visiting the city of Fez, the oldest imperial city in Morocco were founded in the 8th century by Moulay Idriss II.
This guided tour will start by visiting the old Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage site, and explore the Medina’s narrow streets which lined with local shops and stalls. taking a look at the old Medina cultural and historical sightseeing include Bouinania Madrasa, Al-Attarine Madrasa, Ennajarine Fountain, Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss II and Al-Qarawiyyine university – the oldest continually operating university in the world.
After lunch, a panoramic view of the whole Medina of Fez, and take a brief visit to the new part “Fez Al-Jadid” of the city. Then Check in at your hotel/riad in the evening.
4th day: Fez –Azrou – Merzouga.
In the morning, you leave fez and drive along through the middle Atlas Mountains; crossing cedar forests, who is very much wanted by woodworkers and it is used for different purposes.
You will continue towards Ifrane city, the "Switzerland of Morocco", and Azrou, the typical middle Atlas Berber village.
Then you go ahead journey to the desert by passing via ZiZ valley and city of Erfoud.
Finally, you'll reach Merzouga, spend tonight in a hotel getting rest for the next day for desert outing.
5th day: Erg Chebbi – Merzouga Camel Trekking Tour.
Today, it is for exploring the area, starting with a black-skinned people village called”khamlia” where you are going to drink mint tea, and enjoy their Gnawa music. Afterward, you'll visit the desert lake before heading towards Rissani city (tafilalet), the most important oasis in the southeast Moroccan desert, where fortified villages are surrounded by palm groves. in the afternoon, you drive back to the hotel.
The night includes sunset ride on a camel, playing drums and sleeping in a classified Berber tent in the middle of Erg Chebbi’s golden dunes. Tonight full of adventures and pleasure.
6th day: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges.
Early morning, waking up for the gorgeous sunrise with camels riding over the sand dunes, while you come back to the hotel for taking a shower and have breakfast. Then, get through some Berber villages to Toudra gorge. After lunch, the journey will go on to Dades Valley.
By nightfall, you'll get to your hotel.
7th day: Dades Gorges – Roses Valley – Ouarzazate.
On the way to Ouarzazate, you will pass through a series of fields and palm groves with stunning views such as the Rose Valley in Qalaa M'Gouna and the old Kasbah in Skoura. These oases contain hundreds of ruins of kasbahs of all shapes which are beautifully surrounded by nature. Upon reaching Ouarzazate, the night passes in a riad(hotel).
8th day: Ouarzazate-Ait Ben-Haddou – Marrakech – Essaouira.
Today, you will depart for the Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified kasbah that reflects the great Berber earthen architecture, built hundreds of years ago, and in which many world films were shot. Then, passing through the high Atlas mountain range, you will see all the ruins of the Kasbahs, which still embody the ancient Berber civilization.
You will keep on driving across high Atlas Mountains via Tichka pass (2,260 m.a.s.l) and stopping at panoramic views, and then have lunch in Marrakech. After that, head to Essaouira and spend a night in your hotel.
9th day: Essaouira – Marrakech.
Today, this tour will focus on the ancient city of Essaouira. You can be accompanied by a local guide to help visit the wonderful corners. You should also enjoy the fresh beach air, Moroccan cooking or a delicious fish meal. While you are driving to Marrakesh, you will pass the Argan Women's Association that produces the oil, which is used for several medical and cosmetic purposes. In the afternoon, arrive in Marrakech.
10th day: Marrakech sightseeing.
This day is for a guided tour: Bahia and Badi Palaces, Saadian Tombs, Menara basin and other hidden treasures are all will be discovered.
After enjoying lunch in one of the finest restaurants. The attracting center of Marrakech is the next destination where the magnificent Koutoubia Mosque and Jamaa el-Fna wonderfully still remain. They both come alive at night.
11th day: Marrakech – Casablanca – Rabat – Asilah.
In the morning, you will go to Casablanca city for visiting the Mosque of Hassan II. Afterward, you'll head on a coast road through Rabat to Asilah for spending a calm night in a hotel.
12th day: Asilah-Tangier.
The last day of your tour from tanger, you will get to wander around then quiet and cozy Asilah town before finally driving back to tangier. After transferring you to the airport the ferry port, our 12 days tour will be officially over.
