Details and itinerary of the 13 days tour from Casablanca
Day 1: Arrival to Casablanca- Rabat.
On the first day of 13 Days Casablanca desert tour, our driver will pick you up from the airport, you will start your trip visit one of the best highlights of Casablanca the Hassan ll mosque and the largest mosque in Morocco. Then, you leave for the Imperial city of Rabat.
Day 2: day exploring Rabat.
Today, you will explore Rabat, the administrative capital of Morocco; you will start the visit to Mechouar (ramparts and walls surrounding the Royal Palace), the Oudayas Kasbah, the Hassan Tower and the magnificent Mausoleum Mohamed V. Lunch will be served in your choice either in a local restaurant or test the seafood by the sea.
You can also visit The Zoo to discover snakes, Atlas lion, monkeys, lemurs and birds amongst others. The national zoological park is located northwest of Tamara. The park seeks to protect more than 2,000 animals, including 1,120 birds. The zoo is the most visited place in Morocco.
It has rare specimens which have been saved from extinction thanks to the zoo.
Day 3: Rabat – Chefchaouen.
In the Morning, you head off to Chefchaouen (The Blue City). It is as well an attractive town situated in the Rif Mountains south of the Mediterranean coastline in The Northwest of Morocco. The gorgeous Blue City is known for its traditional buildings. Enjoy a walk to explore the white and blue walls of the Medina and the markets that offer some unique native handicrafts. Chefchaouen is a fantastic destination for photography lovers with its wonderful views of the Rif Mountains. Spend tonight in authentic Riad.
Day 4: Chefchaouen – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes.
Today After breakfast at the hotel, you will travel to Meknes then to the nearby city Fes. You will discover ancient Berber-Roman ruins of Volubilis. Then, you continue your way to Meknes, which is the third Imperial city of Morocco with its famous door, it is known as “The Versailles of Morocco. You will explore Bab El Mansour, one of the most beautiful gateway. Continue your sightseeing tour by visiting the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail. You will have time for lunch, then visit the Old and new Medina. Finally, drive to Fes. Enjoy your evening and spend the night in a Riad or Hotel.
Day 5: Fes Sightseeing.
In this journey, you will have a sightseeing tour to explore the first Imperial city. Your morning will be spent visiting the medieval Medina (old city) with its ramparts and narrow streets that was declared as UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1981. You will see the 16th Century Merinid Tombs Ruins, visit the Bouanania and the Attarine Medersas constructed in the early 14th century by the Merinides, the Karaouine Mosque (The ancient educational center of Islamic learning), and the Nejjarine Marble Fountain. You will have a break for lunch at a typical Moroccan restaurant. Continuing on your visit, you will view the decorated gate of Bab Boujeloud, the medieval tanneries, the Royal Palace. Then visit the local markets where merchants and craftsmen sell their hand-made jewelry, leather goods, copperware, and pottery. Tonight spent in Fes.
Day 6: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou - Midelt – Merzouga.
The trip from Fes to Merzouga Sand Dunes will take around 8 hours in which you will see the Atlas Mountains and some Berber villages. you will stop in some cities like Ifrane and Azrou to enjoy the view of the cedar woods and monkeys living there. Lunch will be served in Midelt. Then, you’ll keep going through the Ziz valley which has beautiful views of the palm trees. When you get to Merzouga, you will ride camels to Berber tents (luxury camp) where you will spend the night. Dinner is included in the camps.
Day 7: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Gorge.
You leave the Sahara desert of Merzouga to Rissani in which you will have a visit of the traditional market. Rissani is the cradle of the Alaoui’s Dynasty. Subsequently, you head north to Erfoud which is known for the fossils. You can stop to visit the fossil museum. later on, you will have the chance to visit in old irrigation system used by Nomadic families, you will stop in Tinjdad to have your lunch, after you proceed to the amazing Todra valley known for rock climbing where you can walk and enjoy the scenery. Then, you drive to Dades Gorges where you will spend your night.
Day 8: Dades Gorge – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech.
After your breakfast at the hotel, you will begin your journey through the road of thousand Kasbahs passing by the Roses valley, and Skoura Oasis with its credible 17th century Kasbah. Thereafter, you visit the Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate and the largest Studio in Africa, later on, you will have a visit to Ait Benhaddou Kasbah (Ait Benhaddou is the World Heritage site that has been utilized as a setting for more than 20 movies incorporating “Gladiator” “Indiana Jones” “Game of throne” and “Lawrence of Arabia”…). You will have lunch in the kasbah, afterward 4 hours’ drive to Marrakech via Tizi N’tichka pass with many stops to enjoy different views. Arrive at Marrakech in the evening.
Day 9: day exploring Marrakesh.
Our local guide will pick you up from your accommodation to show you the sightseeing in Marrakech, the imperial city of the South. You will visit the Koutoubia Mosque and admire its tower, the Majorelle Garden; a botanical garden with its varied plants, the 16th century Saadian Tombs; all decorated in colorful mosaic tiles, and the 19th century Bahia Palace with its beautiful eastern Architecture. You will have a break for lunch. In the afternoon, you will have time to explore the fascinating Souks and the narrow alleys around the Djemâa El-Fna Square. In the evening, you will be enchanted with snake charmers, singers, acrobats, dancers, narrators, and story-tellers moving from one group to another.
Day 10: day trip to Imlil.
By 8 a.m. you will start your day excursion to Imlil valley; our guide will pick you up from your Riad/hotel and start driving direction to the Atlas Mountains. Time to explore the nature of Moroccan mountains, on the way stopping for pictures for the amazing landscape that varies from a season to another is always provided. Arriving at Imlil, the village beneath Toubkal peak, you meet your mules and ride up for 30 minutes. Later on, you hike to explore the small waterfalls of Imlil where fresh orange juice is waiting for you!
You will ride the mules again to reach our guest house, with its simplicity and breathtaking landscape. Enjoy the delicious Tagine with a mint tea At the Amazigh (Berber) guest house.
After lunch, Time to hike again with your guide for 30 Minutes to reach Imlil center village again, then drive to Lalla Takerkoust.
Enjoy with some stunning views of the Atlas Mountains view and dry desertic landscape. Then, you'll take a 45-minute drive back to Marrakesh from Takerkoust.
Day 11: Marrakesh – Essaouira.
This morning after breakfast, you will leave Marrakech “the red city” toward Essaouira city. You may visit an Argan factory run by women and get to know about the process of making Argan oil. You’ll explore the port of the Coastal tourist town of Essaouira. Enjoy a fresh seafood lunch in the medina. The afternoon is at your leisure for a personal exploration; you can swim and relax on the beach. Enjoy your evening and spend the night in a Riad or hotel.
Day 12: Essaouira – Safi – Oualidia – El Jadida.
Today, we will travel toward El Jadida via the coastal road while admiring the views. You are going to pass by Safi and Oualida where you may enjoy delicious seafood in this wonderful place. After lunch, you will continue to El Jadida (was known as Mazagan); this old medina was established in 1513 by the Portuguese. Arrive there early evening.
Day 13: El Jadida – Casablanca (airport).
Transfer to the Airport depending on your flight departure time.
