Magical 11 days experience
Highlights and itinerary of the magical 11 days experience from Rabat to Casablanca:
1st Day: Rabat – Asilah – Tangier.
Welcome to Morocco!! Meet your tour driver/guide at hotel or the airport of Rabat and pick you up for visiting the Hassan Tower and walking in the Kasbah of Oudaya. After there, Most of the road will be by the atlantic while traveling to Asillah city where you will have the chance to explore the city. It is known for most of the walls of the Medina are painted by many famous artists from all over the world and its annual festival of the art. Then, you’ll continue to Tangier, which is the gateway to Africa from Europe, you should take a tour in the city and explore the bustling medina, and enjoy the stunning views where the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Ocean meet.
2nd Day: Tangier – Chefchaouen.
Today, the trip will begin passing through the Rif and then arriving the pearl city of Chefchaouen, whose Berber name means ”horns”, perched beneath mountains of the Rif, where white Houses built over hills in shades of blue. You will spend the night at a local Riad/hotel.
3rd Day: Chefchaouen – Volubilis ruins – Meknes- Fes.
After tasty breakfast, your journey continues towards Volubilis, where you will explore the Roman ruins and learn about Moroccan history.
Then, continuing to Meknes, you’ll stop for lunch and discover the historical walls of the medina along with Bab el Mansour, and you’ll visit the Moulay Ismail shrine. On the afternoon, you are going to head to Fes where you’ll spend the night at riad(hotel).
4th Day: Fes Guided visit.
full day sightseeing in Fes, a guide will accompany you from your hotel to discover the oldest imperial city of Fes; Visit of the mellah (Jewish quarter) the oldest of the Imperial Cities, founded in 790 A.D. and visit the Karaouiyne Mosque – the first university the world- , whose central aisle is embellished with elaborate floral and Kufic script carved into the plaster; and the colorfully tiled Nejjarine Fountain. And don’t miss the fascinating Islamic universities, including the El bou Anania and the Attarine. Finally, wander the souks (markets) of Fes, the most fascinating in all of Morocco.
5th Day: Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Merzouga desert.
After your breakfast, you'll leave Fes towards south through Ifrane and Azrou in the Middle Atlas mountains. Have stops at Midelt affording dramatic views of the High Atlas Mountains. After lunch, you’ll pass by urban Er-Rachidia and continue your journey through the Ziz Valley panoramic views. Then at afternoon, you get the Merzouga desert where you check-in at your hotel; the remainder of your day is free. Or if you prefer to live an amazing night in a luxury camp on the dunes of erg chebbi, after dinner you will gather around the fire and enjoy the sound of traditional Berber drums under the stars, filling the sky above you and calmness.
6th Day: Tour around Erg Chebbi by 4×4 / Buggies.
Today, you start your touring around the dunes of Erg Chebbi by 4×4 car. You will visit a berber house in Khamlia village, listen to Gnawa music; originally from Southern African countries. You visit some deserted mines, Berber nomads and oasis of palm trees. Have lunch in a local restaurant then go back to the hotel to relax for a while. Afternoon, you can ride a quad bike or an ATV over the sand dunes. Also, you may roam around the town of Merzouga. It is a great opportunity to take stunner pictures and vlogs of the sahara. In the evening, you will check-in at your hotel.
7th Day: Merzouga – Rissani – Todgha Gorges- Boumalen Dades.
Today, you should wake up early if you like to see the morning sunrise of the desert, or you want to experience the magnificent scenery of the sun shine over the gold sand at the Merzouga desert dunes. After having breakfast, you will ride our camels, and get prepared to leave toward Todra canyons, for another day of joy and adventure. You will start pass by Erfoud, Tinejdad, and Tinghir for taking a break with lunch. Then, you will continue to observe the stunning views crossing the road, and take photos. Afternoon, you are going to get Arriving at the marvelous Valley of Boumalen Dades where you have a dinner, and spend a night.
8th Day: Boumalen Dades-Ouarzazate -Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah– Marrakech.
Today, you will travel through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M'gouna and Ouarzazate. The road through Dades Valley is called, “the 1000 kasbahs way” well-known for its roses, Kasbahs and the cinema studios of Ouarzazate. You’ll pass by Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, built by T-hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains. During the beginning of the 20th Century, now it is a UNESCO heritage site. After that, you will begin to cross the high Atlas Mountains with many panoramic views and attractive Berber villages all along the way till Marrakech city.
9th Day: Marrakech- Essaouira.
Today, your driver/guide will pick you up at 8:00 a.m from your hotel towards Essaouira, enjoying the natural surrounding country side, you will continue on, soon coming upon our first signs of the Argan trees. These special trees are valued for cooking, cosmetic and numerous medicinal properties. They are under the protection of UNESCO. Finally you will get in Essaouira.
Essaouira is a medieval city famous for its annual festival of Gnaoua music and an UNESCO world heritage site. There are many things to admire during your trip such as its pleasant weather being close to the ocean, La Skala, place Moulay El Hassan, the port, the ramparts, and the Jewish district, you can stroll in its amusing narrow streets exploring the ancient French and Portuguese architecture, revel in the beach, visit the port. Also you may dine on fish straight out of the sea at any number of local restaurants, and if you want! You can ride a camel on the beach.
10th Day: Essaouira- Marrakech.
After breakfast, you will come back to Marrakech. On the way, this is an opportunity to visit the women's co-operative of Argan oil where they extract the oil that is famous for its cooking, cosmetic and medicinal properties. Then you will continue your trip to Marrakech several stops for taking photographs, and check-in to your riad/hotel before making a sightseeing visit with a local expert's Guide. You’ll explore Marrakech city by visiting its wonderful and stunning places; The Majorelle Garden, The Koutoubia Mosque, the Medina, the Menara Garden, the Bahia Palace and Djemma el Fna Square where you will enjoy a walking tour by seeing palm readers, acrobats, markets and more. In the afternoon, you will have some free time to roam by yourself through the other parts of the city.
After dinner, you enjoy walking within the famous square of Jemaa Elfna, entertained by magicians, story tellers, musicians and snake charmers. Spend a night at Riad in the Medina.
11th Day: Marrakech- Casablanca.
Today is last day of your vacation with us, at 8:00 a.m.; our diver is going to pick you up to Casablanca. Where you’ll have a visit of sightseeing; you take a stroll in the Habous district, the majestic Mohammed V square, United Nations square. Then, visit the famous Hassan II Mosque. Finally, Transfer to your hotel or the airport according to your flight departure time.
