5 days tour from Rabat to Marrakech
1st Day: Rabat - Meknes – Volubilis ruins – Fes.
Today, you’ll meet our driver car for starting your trip and exploring the main sites of Rabat; the Kasbah of Oudayas, the Hassan Tower, the Chellah, and the Mohamed V Mausoleum. Then, you're departing to Meknes Imperial City, visiting its Medina (old city), and Bab el Mansour which is the monumental gateway and main entrance into this 17th century city. Also, you'll stop at the Roman ruins of Volubilis the finest archaeological site in Morocco; temples and triumphal arch... On the road to the village of Moulay Idriss zarhoun, the holy founder of the first indigenous Islamic kingdom of Morocco. After that you will head to Fes for visiting medina with local guide; Attarine Medersas, Karaouine Mosque, and the Bab Boujeloud. check-in at your hotel (Riad).
2nd Day: Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Merzouga desert.
After your breakfast, you'll leave Fes towards south-est through Ifrane and Azrou in the Middle Atlas mountains. Have stops at Midelt affording dramatic views of the High Atlas Mountains. After lunch, you’ll pass by urban Er-Rachidia and continue your journey through the Ziz Valley panoramic views. Then at afternoon, you get the Merzouga desert where you check-in at your hotel; the remainder of your day is free. Or if you prefer live for amazing night like the nomades in a camp on the dunes of erg chebbi, after dinner you will gather around the fire and enjoy the sound of traditional Berber drums under the stars, filling the sky above you and calmness.
3rd Day: exploring Merzouga desert by 4x4.
Early morning, you should ride camels to the edge to the Dunes of Merzouga desert, the highest in North Africa, to see the sunrise and enjoying the Desert scenery and fresh air. Also, you will have the chance to listen to Gnawa music in the village of Khamlia. Then on the way to Rissani city, you pass through date palm groves to the remains of what was once the medieval city of Sijilmassa. Tonight you enjoy a dinner on local restaurant/ hotel.
4th Day: Merzouga- Rissani- Arfoud – Todra Gorges – Boumalne Dades.
Today, you will departure in direction of Rissani Souk (mall), then Erfoud to visit the museum of fossils (Tahiri Museum of Fossils And Minerals), thereafter, the palm grove of Tinhgir (the largest in Morocco) and arriving at the Todra Canyon. Have a Lunch in bottom of the Canyon, and then you’ll cross the village of Boumalne, the valley of Dades to join the canyon of Dades where you’ll spend the night in a hotel.
5th Day: Boumalne Dades– Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech.
On this last day of the 5 days tour, you will travel through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M'gouna and Ouarzazate. The route through Dades Valley is called, “the 1000 kasbahs way” well-known for its roses and the cinema studios of Ouarzazate “Hollywood of Morocco” and the Taourirt Kasbah. You will pass by Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, built by T-hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains. During the beginning of the 20th Century, now it is a UNESCO heritage site. After that, you will begin to cross the high Atlas Mountains with many panoramic views and attractive Berber villages all along the way till Marrakech city.
