7 days tour from Rabat
The seven days journey from Rabat will lead you to explore the main sites of Rabat: such as the Kasbah of Oudayas, the Hassan Tower and the ruins of 200 columns, the Chellah, the Mohamed V Mausoleum, the medina, and more! It offers you the chance to have a real desert experience, ride camels and spend the night in a luxury camp in the middle of dunes and to discover the most interesting sites in Morocco like: Ifrane, Ceder forest in Azrou, Ziz valley, Gorges of Toudgha and Dades, Ait Benhaddou Kasbahs, Atlas Mountains and ultimately the charming city of Marrakech.
1st Day: Rabat - Meknes – Volubilis ruins – Fes.
Today, you’ll meet our driver for exploring the main sites of Rabat. Then, you're departing to Meknes, the Imperial City of Sultan Moulay Ismail, visiting its Medina (old city), and Bab el Mansour which is the monumental gateway and main entrance into this 17th century city. Also, you'll stop at the Roman ruins of Volubilis the finest archaeological site in Morocco; with its mosaics, temples and triumphal arch... On your way to the village of Moulay Idriss zarhoun, the holy founder of the first indigenous Islamic kingdom of Morocco. After that you continue your trip to Fes for check-in at your hotel.
2nd Day: sightseeing day of Fes.
full day sightseeing in Fes, a guide will accompany you from your hotel to discover the oldest imperial city of Fes; Visit of the mellah (Jewish quarter) the oldest of the Imperial Cities, founded in 790 A.D. and visit the Karaouiyne Mosque, whose central aisle is embellished with elaborate floral and Kufic script carved into the plaster; and the colorfully tiled Nejjarine Fountain. And don’t miss the fascinating Islamic universities, including the El bou Anania and the Attarine. Finally, wander the souks (markets) of Fes, the most fascinating in all of Morocco.
3rd Day: Fes - Ifrane - Azrou - Merzouga desert.
After your breakfast, you'll leave Fes towards south through Ifrane and Azrou in the Middle Atlas mountains. Have stops at Midelt affording dramatic views of the High Atlas Mountains. After lunch, you’ll pass by urban Er-Rachidia and continue your journey through the Ziz Valley panoramic views. Then at afternoon, you get the Merzouga desert where you check-in at your hotel; the remainder of your day is free. Or if you prefer live for amazing night like the Bedouins, in a camp on the dunes of erg chebbi, after dinner you will gather around the fire and enjoy the sound of traditional Berber drums under the stars, filling the sky above you and calmness.
4th Day: exploring Merzouga.
Early morning, you should ride camels to the edge to the Dunes of Merzouga desert, the highest in North Africa, to see the sunrise and enjoying the Saharan landscapes. Also, you will have the chance to listen to Gnawa music in the village of Khamlia. Then on the way to Rissani city, you pass through date palm groves to the remains of what was once the medieval city of Sijilmassa. Tonight we enjoy a dinner on local restaurant/ hotel.
5th Day: Erg Chebbi - Erfoud - Todra – Dades.
Today, you will departure in direction of Erfoud to see the museum of fossils (Tahiri Museum of Fossils And Minerals), thereafter, the palm grove of Tinhgir (the largest in Morocco) and arriving at the Todra Canyon. Have a Lunch in bottom of the Canyon, and then you’ll cross the village of Boumalne, the valley of Dades to join the canyon of Dades where you’ll spend the night in a hotel.
6th Day: dades Gorges - Roses valley – Ouarzazate.
In the morning, you'll pass on the road through the Valley of Roses to the Thousand Kasbahs and arriving at the city of Ouarzazate, whom is named Hollywood of Morocco; visit the Kasbah Taourirt and a Night in a hotel in the city.
7th Day: Ouarzazate - Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah – Marrakesh.
After your breakfast, you will drive to the Unesco World Heritage site, and the most famous Kasbah in Morocco, named “Ait Ben Haddou”, and to “Telouet” Kasbah, the ancient palace of the Glaoui Pasha of Marrakech. Then you continue to Marrakech city, passing by the 2 260 m mountain pass “Tizi-N-Tichka”.in order to spend the night in your hotel.
