fantastic week from Tangier
1st Day: Tangier - Chefchaouen.
Tour kick-off from your hotel/airport to the Tetouan city through the Rif Mountains to fully enjoy the superb view of the landscape, you will stop at the foothills of the Rif Mountains in Chefchaouen. Its old city has a strong influence on Spanish architecture, as it was once part of "Spanish Morocco" there is a square awash with funky artisan shops bright in color. It is also home to many rooftop restaurants and cafes, where you can enjoy the rest of the evening with a nice breeze and a great view.
2nd Day: Chefchaouen – Volubilis ruins – Meknes – Fez.
After breakfast, your journey continues towards Volubilis, where you will explore the Roman ruins and learn about Moroccan history.
Then, continuing to Meknes, you’ll stop for lunch and discover the historical walls of the medina along with Bab el Mansour, and you’ll visit the Moulay Ismail shrine. On the afternoon, you are going to head to Fes where you’ll spend the night at riad (hotel).
3rd Day: Fez sightseeing day.
Today, you start the day exploring the oldest city in Morocco with local guide by snaking through its alleys and narrow streets. You’ll visit sightseeing at the Royal Palace gate, followed by the Jewish headquarter which is the first Mullah ever was built in Morocco. We’ll ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the world.
You’ll also visit the Tanneries, the Attarine museum and the Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After the lunch, you’ll may visit many different cooperatives and then, experience a fabulous panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fez.
4th Day: Fez – Merzouga desert.
After breakfast, you will leave at 8 a.m from Fez, toward the middle Atlas cedar forest of Azrou, to see the Berber apes, and then you will have lunch in the Apples capital of Midelt. You will continue, passing by Tizi-N-Talghemt pass, The Ziz valley, which most is known by its palm trees and the length of the oasis, several small villages. You will reach Errachidia, Erfoud is known for its dates and fossils, at the end of the afternoon, you will arrive to Merzouga, spending a night in a traditionally built Hotel.
5th Day: Merzouga desert – Todra Gorges – Dades Gorges.
Today, you should to wake up early in the morning so as not to miss the opportunity to see stunning scenery of the sunrise over the Sahara dunes. We will have a short walk in the dunes after breakfast, then we will leave to Tinghir via Tinjdad, Todgha valley, Todgha Gorges, where have lunch, there are many places to see, along the vally, the gardens and the other side of the Gorges, and to Dades valley, you will have dinner, and spend a night in a hotel of Dades Gorges.
6th Day: Dades valley – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech.
After taking breakfast you will have a short walking in the Dades Gorges. Then, you will continue toward Ouarzazate, by going off-road along Boutaghrar piste, to enjoy the atmosphere, and visiting the caves of the Berber nomads, where you will have a cup of Moroccan mint tea with a nomad family, then you will go on passing through the valley of roses, which is well-known for the Rose Festival in May, and Skoura Kasbahs. You will reach Ouarzazate, where you will stopover at the Kasbah of Taourirt and the film studios. After that you are going to visit Ait Ben Haddou kasbah, the most well-known Kasbah in Morocco, and which was employed as a backdrop for multiple Hollywood blockbusters. After there, you’ll go to Telouet Kasbah. Passing by Tizi-N-Tichka mountain pass, you will arrive to Marrakech.
7th Day: Marrakesh Sightseeing.
Today, a guide tour will accompany you in Marrakesh. You will explore with him the main attractions and monuments of the red city, including; the famous Jamma el Fna square, Koutoubia mosque, the souks (Moroccan malls), palaces, and museums. You’ll also explore parts of the city such as Gueliz, The Menara Gardens and Marjolle.
8th Day: Transfer to the airport.
Today, you’ll be transferred (punctually) to the airport.
